These terms govern your use of the Databeauty Tribe website, community, and programmes. By using the site or joining a programme, you agree to them.

Who we are
Databeauty Tribe is a data analytics community and training provider based in Abuja, Nigeria. Contact us at databeautytribe@gmail.com.

Your account
You need an account for parts of the site. When you create one:
- Give accurate information, and keep it current
- Keep your password to yourself
- Tell us promptly if someone else gets into your account
- One account per person
You are responsible for what happens under your account.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. TODO: decide whether you will give notice and a chance to appeal before closing an account, and say so.
Paid programmes
Prices are shown in Nigerian Naira on the page for each programme. The price you see when you register is the price you pay.
Payment
TODO: describe how payment works: what methods you accept, whether instalments are allowed, when a place is confirmed, and what happens if payment is incomplete when a cohort starts.
Refunds
TODO: write the refund policy. At minimum: whether refunds exist at all, any cut-off date relative to the cohort start, whether part-completion is refundable, and how long a refund takes. This is the clause students are most likely to rely on, and the one most likely to cause a dispute.
Changes to a programme
We may change a schedule, an instructor, or the delivery of a session where we have good reason. If a change is significant, we will tell registered participants in advance.
TODO: say what happens if you cancel a cohort outright. A full refund is the usual answer.
Community conduct
The community works because people treat each other well. When taking part in the WhatsApp group, live sessions, or any Databeauty Tribe programme:
- Treat members, instructors, judges and guests with respect
- Do not harass, abuse, or discriminate against anyone
- Do not spam the group or use it to sell your own services uninvited
- Do not share other members' personal information
- Do not share paid course material with people who have not paid
We may remove anyone from the community for breaking these rules. Serious breaches mean immediate removal without refund.
The Business Challenge
Entering a challenge means you accept the rules published for that cycle, including its deadline.
Your work stays yours. You keep ownership and copyright in anything you submit.
TODO: state what licence you need over submitted work: whether you may display winning entries on the site or social media, name the pod publicly, and whether that permission is permanent.
Judging decisions are final. TODO: confirm this, and say whether there is any route to query a score.
TODO: if prizes are offered, state what they are, when they are paid, and who is eligible. data/challenge.json currently lists no prizes.
Our content
The course material, written content, and designs on this site belong to Databeauty Tribe. You may use them for your own learning. You may not resell them, republish them, or teach from them without our written permission.
Datasets provided for a Business Challenge are for that challenge. TODO: state whether participants may reuse a challenge dataset in a public portfolio afterwards. Participants will assume yes unless told otherwise.
What we promise, and what we do not
We work to keep the site available and the programmes good. We do not promise the site will never go down, and we do not promise a job, a salary, or any particular career outcome. What you get out of a programme depends substantially on the work you put in.
TODO: a limitation of liability clause belongs here. It has to be drafted by a lawyer to be worth anything, and an unenforceable one is worse than none.
Links to other sites
The site links to LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Google Drive, and others. We are not responsible for what happens on them.
Ending your participation
You can stop at any time. Ask us to close your account by writing to databeautytribe@gmail.com.
Closing your account does not automatically refund a paid programme; see the refund section above.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. TODO: confirm with a lawyer, and state which courts have jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms we will update the date at the top. If a change affects a programme you have already paid for, we will tell you directly.
